How It Started
Mark Manyen spent 8 years in the US Navy. That kind of training sticks with you. You learn what it means to finish the job, to own the outcome, to respect the people you work with.
When Mark left service and settled in Mason with his wife Lori, he saw an opportunity. Property owners needed someone they could trust. Someone who showed up on time, gave honest quotes, and actually answered the phone. Someone who cared about the work.
So in 2015, that's exactly what he built. Family Grade & Gravel started as Mark and Lori doing the work themselves. Driveways, grading, septic systems, land clearing. Hands in the dirt, building something real.
Now, over a decade in, that approach hasn't changed. Mark still shows up to every job. He still gives the estimates. He still follows up weeks later to make sure the work is holding up. That's not marketing. That's how Mark operates.
